"

My time as an ambassador for USCAP was uniformly positive. It was essential for me to learn and inform others of the “life cycle” of a pathologist and how USCAP membership can play a role! Now that I am considered a mid-career, I appreciate those lessons and understand the time it takes to develop in academic pathology. In addition, I used my role as an ambassador to prepare a brief presentation each year for the residents and fellows at my institution about all of the educational and mentorship-related offerings for trainees and also “what to expect” at the annual meeting. I’ve also been fortunate to be involved, along with several of my esteemed colleagues, in the diversity efforts of the academy. I look forward to seeing a more diverse population of members and attendees. “

“USCAP is the home of academic pathology. To present at the USCAP Annual Meeting gives you the confidence that you can be an active player in the future of pathology- related to scientific advancement (if you want to).”
