Course Description
This course is designed to provide updated, pragmatic, problem-solving information for practicing anatomic pathologists. It will focus on the resolution of diagnostic pitfalls in an array of difficult areas of surgical pathology including gynecologic, head & neck, gastrointestinal, bone and soft tissue and dermatopathology. This course is presented in a lecture format by distinguished faculty members with expertise in their respective fields and experienced in post graduate educational activities at the national and international levels. Ample time will be allowed for questions and answers. A comprehensive syllabus and a CD-ROM containing illustrative PowerPoint presentations for each topic are included in the course fee. This course is intended to provide a pleasant, informal atmosphere for learning as well as opportunities for one-on-one interaction with the outstanding faculty. Continental breakfast is provided for registrants and there is a Welcome Reception for registrants and their accompanying person(s).

Course Learning Objectives

To sharpen existing expertise in diagnostic surgical pathology and to present new information, recent technological advances and updated concepts that are useful in daily practice. To provide an understanding of current standards, techniques, criteria, classifications, etc. in areas where training and self-study may give less than ideal exposure.

CME Credits
The United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The USCAP is approved by the American Board of Pathology to offer Self-Assessment Modules (SAMs) which will be necessary for ABP Maintenance of Certification (see their website for more information.)

This course may be used for CME or SAMs credits.

Registration
Early registration is advised since conference room size may necessitate closing of enrollment. The course registration fee includes course fee, a comprehensive syllabus and a CD with representative PowerPoint presentations for each lecture, continental breakfasts, break refreshments and a reception on Thursday evening.

Cancellation Policy
Refunds of fees, less $50 administrative fee, will be made until April 6, 2007. Refunds after that date will be subject to a 50% penalty, but registrants will receive course materials.
