Course Description
This course is designed to provide updated knowledge for practicing surgical pathologists, academicians, and residents. It addresses the resolution of diagnostic problems relative to each of the major organ systems. This course is presented in a lecture format by a distinguished faculty with time allowed for questions at each session as well as during the breaks. Registrants will receive a comprehensive syllabus and a CD-ROM containing an illustrative powerpoint presentation for each topic presented, totaling over 3,500 images.

The intent of this course is to provide a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere for learning from an outstanding faculty lecturing on important topics. The setting is informal and there is time for 1:1 interaction with the faculty. The schedule provides for ample free time, making this a great opportunity for a family experience.

This is the 18th year the course has been given and it has consistently received outstanding evaluations by the participants. Comments from registrants on last year’s evaluation forms included: * Outstanding speakers and topics for the practicing pathologist! A virtual “pearl utopia”! * The single best course in diagnostic surgical pathology that I’ve ever attended! * The best conference I’ve attended in my 31 years of practice. * Speakers were uniformly excellent! * A great course in a great location! I will recommend it to my partners. * This was an all around excellent course. It was well designed for the experienced community hospital pathologist. Bravo! and Thank You! * The focus on common problems was great. * The information on practical uses for new technologies was a great help. * I am extremely grateful for the CD-Roms which will enable me to jog my memory of the topics in the future. * The CDs make this USCAP course stand out from all other courses and puts this organization at the leading edge. * All the speakers were eloquent. The question and answer sessions yielded much practical information. *The syllabus and the CD are an invaluable resource! Making these available to participants clearly indicates the USCAP’s commitment to education. * A great benefit of this course for me was the ability to personally interact with the expert faculty.
