This advanced course is designed to provide updated pragmatic, problem-solving knowledge for practicing
cytopathologists and anatomic pathologists. It addresses the resolution of diagnostic pitfalls relative to each of
the major organ systems studied by cytopathology/FNA. This course is presented in a lecture format by a
distinguished faculty with time allowed for questions and answers and a pre-test/post-test. A comprehensive
syllabus as well as a CD-ROM containing illustrative PowerPoint presentations for each topic is included in the
course fee. This course is intended to provide a pleasant, informal atmosphere for learning as well as
opportunities for 1:1 interaction with the outstanding faculty. Continental breakfast is provided.

Course Outline and Daily Schedule
Course Location
The course will be held at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort on beautiful Clearwater Beach on the Florida Gulf Coast.
Fly into Tampa International Airport and there you can reserve the Super Shuttle to take you to the resort (please see the Travel and Transportation section below for details). This is a four diamond
resort located directly on the beach, with spa, fitness center, tennis and heated swimming pool. Visit the resort

hotel. Hop aboard the Jolley Trolley, which stops just outside the hotel lobby, and ride up and down the beach to
various restaurants and local attractions.
CME Credits
The USCAP is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing
medical education for physicians. The Academy designates this educational activity for up to 16 category 1 credit
towards the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she
actually spends in the activity.
Self-Assessment Module
The USCAP is pleased to announce that this course is the first of its educational offerings which registrants may
choose to use as a Self-Assessment Module for the purpose of meeting requirements of the American Board of Pathology
for Maintenance of Certification (see www.abpath.org for details about Self Assessment
Modules).

Cancellation Policy
Refunds of fees, less $50 administrative fee, will be made until December 15, 2006. Refunds after that date will
be subject to a 50% penalty, but registrants will receive course materials.

Directions from Tampa International Airport
Exit State Road #60. Immediately merge left to one of the two outer lanes.

Follow #60 West across Courtney Campbell Causeway through Clearwater.

Continue on 60 West to the Beaches, which becomes Court Street shortly after the traffic light at Gulf-To-Bay &
Highland Avenue. Court Street ends at the foot of the Memorial Causeway Bridge.

At the West end of the Causeway, you will approach a roundabout – stay in outer lane of circle - follow circle ¾ of
the way around. Exit at South Gulfview/Coronado.

Take the next right onto S. Gulfview Blvd. continuing approx. 1½ miles.
